// Street market wanderers. //
Growing up in Hong Kong, surrounded by the most glamorous shopping malls, I was never a big fan of street markets. But having been away for some time, coming back to the Tai Yuen Street market gave me a heartwarming feeling of familiarity. It was a place where I get the most mundane and yet the most necessary things, be it some fresh lychee, some local snacks and classic bakeries, a few pair of cheap socks and a new piece of shoelace, or even phone cases. It was, indeed, home.
